Pismo Beach Dos and Don'ts for Valley visitors

What NOT to do when visiting our beach

DO NOT HARRASS THE HORSEBACK RIDERS

Do not rev your engine because the rider is cute or drive too close to get a better look. You are risking their lives.

DO NOT DRIVE LIKE AN IDIOT

The speed limit on the beach is 15 mph! Yeah, it's summer and you're on vacation. That doesn't give you the right to endanger our family, friends and pets.

DO NOT SHOW YOUR PRIDE

Take the flags off your trucks. No matter what your flag displays, all it says to the locals is "VALLEY TRASH ON BOARD"

DON'T LITTER

Have your fun, drink your beer, have a bon fire ... but pick up your trash when you leave!

DO NOT BURN PALLETS, FURNITURE OR LIKE ITMES

Why, you ask? Because when you leave, there are nails in the sand, and screws, and wires, and ... USE YOUR HEAD!

DON'T DRINK OUT OF GLASS BOTTLES

You drink the beer, get drunk, break the bottles and leave the glass in the sand for someone to step on

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS IN THE SAND

You know that's littering; right?

DO NOT FISH BY THE SURFERS

Catching a surfer is a good way to get your ass kicked.

DO NOT ACT LIKE A SLUTTY WHORE

Is that possible when you're from Bakersfield? Well, try to keep your shirt on. This is a family beach.

DO NOT MAKE SIGNS TO RATE GIRLS

You should make a sign that says, "Please give me some attention. I'm a desparate loser from the valley."
